S1E1: Welcome to The New Mason Jar Podcast!

“The question is not, — how much does the youth know? when he has finished his education — but how much does he care? and about how many orders of things does he care? In fact, how large is the room in which he finds his feet set? and, therefore, how full is the life he has before him?”

Cindy and Dawn, thank you so much for doing this podcast. I am new to Charlotte Mason, and only two years into homeschooling. I have 4 children aged 10, 8, 6 and 4, and am slowly learning how to lay a feast before them. It is going to be very slow learning for me as I am so entrenched in utilitarian “school” ways of thinking. I really appreciate your gentle approach to exploring CM’s philosophy of education and how to approach it, and your constant reminders that we are free to fail and not do it perfectly. God bless you!
